Every week I write and article for the Euro Weekly News, an English-speaking newspaper covering all the major resorts of Spain and the Balearics. You can pick up a copy on a Thursday ... or read it here every week. |

In the words of countless New Labour spoke persons, this week I intend to make my position 'perfectly clear'. I am not now, then, or ever will be, a racist. As far as I am concerned all humankind are every bit as equal as each other, having perfectly equal rights to exist on this planet of ours and the freedom to live out their existence in any way they deem fit - including whatever religion they choose. My spiritualist teaching informs us that we will all reincarnate some 500 to 800 times. During these lifetimes we are told our spirit will dwell in all kinds of bodies. As we are required to experience all aspects of life, we will therefore return as men, women, gay, hetro, short tall, fat thin and whatever else necessary for the particular learning stage. You must therefore agree that as I believe I could return in any given vessel, it's all a bit pointless to knock someone's creed or colour. Having now, I hope, made my position 'perfectly clear' I will deal with what I simply cannot abide. I totally abhor people who try to force their religious beliefs or cultures on others (particularly with violence or fear) or indeed use force of any description, including unjust laws. My views on immigration are not directed against individual cultures, but exercises in what I consider to be pure common sense. You simply cannot allow people to pour into a country willy nilly without at some stage finally reaching saturation point. To my mind this point has already arrived in Britain, bringing with it all the problems it is now experiencing. As to segregation, I firmly believe that immigrants of all nationalities, determined to disrupt the British way of life and wishing to segregate themselves, should be discouraged with the full weight of the law - or encouraged to live elsewhere. Britain must stop kowtowing to ethnic minorities. These unctuous cowardly acts are in fact creating racism and tension where it never before existed. The unrest that is beginning to grip the old country is only going one way, toward mayhem and violence on the streets. Scaremongering? Well I'll tell you, I wouldn't ship my family back there to live if they offered me 20k a week. Unless something is done I think violent confrontation it's simply inevitable, and you can lay the blame for it all firmly at the feet of Blair and all his traitorous cronies. Why he is allowing it all to happen? I can only assume that, unless he's in the pay of some foreign power (!) It can only be to obtain the votes of this vast population influx at the next election. So there you have it, absolute power once again corrupting absolutely. In reply to Mr Abdelhakim el Kachifi, who recently received a whole page to air his views, I hope what I have written this week clears up few of his misconceptions about me. I would also like to add that during my seven years in Saudi Arabia, I had the opportunity to study Islam at the closest of quarters and to be quite honest, rather admired its followers with their thoroughly decent life styles and personal discipline. In fact had I been a Muslim myself, I can't imagine a better country to follow it in. Unfortunately until the maverick teachers of the Koran cease to inform the devoted that they will go immediately to paradise if they expire in holy war, or that all who are non Muslim must be either 'turned' or eliminated, then I'm afraid there can only be one outcome and that is most certainly not a life of peaceful love thy neighbour. As to his point that children must be taught the 'natural' realities of life and death, I couldn't agree more, however I cannot see anything even remotely 'natural' in the slitting of a goat's throat on children's television. Thanks to all who wrote actually agreeing with my opinions. Keep 'em all coming - for or 'agin'. Try to keep that old upper lip as stiff as possible, and whatever you do, always - Keep the faith Love Leapy. |
