Every week I write and article for the Euro Weekly News, an English-speaking newspaper covering all the major resorts of Spain and the Balearics. You can pick up a copy on a Thursday ... or read it here every week.

The last couple of weeks I've gone completely off Gordon Brown.

After witnessing the utterly incompetent and lily livered, 'try to please everybody' stance which has surfaced from within David Cameron's party of late, I actually began to think Browns image, and indeed some of his foreword thinking, wasn't all bad. Reliability, strength, and even a soupcon of sincerity seemed to be emerging. Well, all that has now been shattered. With his confidence now boosted, this man has suddenly manifested as a pompous, pontificating, self opinionated preener.   That supercilious grin, as he appeared before his minions at the Labor party conference, would not have surprised me to have been accompanied by cries of pain, as the same groveling group were peppered by the impact of buttons flying from the middle of his straining waistcoat. The man is a peacock! Never trust a man who preens. Not only does this man physically preen, he vocally preens as well. With his deep, monotonous monotones, he's like some magnanmous big daddy, whose enormous heart and superior intellect will embrace all who follow him. With our new savior at the helm, none of us will ever have to worry, or indeed even think for ourselves again! Our new 'father of the nation' delivers his promises like some misanthropic Medusa 'If those naughty banking companies lose all your savings don't worry, Daddy will see you right.' 'Don't turn a hair if the authorities allow anyone to starve/ lose their homes/ die through lack of medical facilities (or because of them!), let off the guilty/ tax you too submission or allow tens of millions of immigrants to sink your heritage. Leave them all to me. Don't worry your little minds, I will point you in the right direction and solve all these problems for you '. 'I am your (unelected) champion am I not?' 'Your ever reliable rock against all the nasty things in our world today!' Yes, well, hopefully nothing akin to Northern Rock! No thanks Mr. Brown. As far as I'm concerned, with you the socialist Svengali 'nanny state' nightmare continues in spades.

On the other side of the political pain threshold, the problem with Cameron's lot is their total lack of 'bottle'. With most of their better ideas no longer in the frame (including their wonderful vote winning promises to review conscription and a possibility of opting out of the EEC) they now appear to have embarked on a suicidal, completely lackluster 'safe route'. All the Conservative party appear to be at this point, is a leadership lacking, bewildered, completely ineffective, and thoroughly idea bereft rural branch of New Labour!

Because this copy has to be in early it is sometimes a little difficult to remain 'current'. However, yesterdays headlines or not, I simply must put in my three penneth about the deplorable and quite unbelievable decision to let a young boy drown, because those who allowed it to happen were simply 'following orders'. Not only does this undermine the very core of   decency and natural human behavior, but, by its very token, must bring a shudder to those who are familiar with the Nuremberg trials, when brainwashed butcher after butcher whined out the same excuse for their own unforgivable atrocities? To me, a crime has been committed here, consequently either the order makers, or simpering order takers, should face trial - at the very least on some form of manslaughter by neglect charge. But they won't will they?

When the next election is called, without doubt the PC happy, 'jobsworth', mini brained, dangerous morons, simply have to be got rid of. Although I still retain an open mind as to the alternatives, I am convinced the only way foreword is to rid the country of this frightening bunch of Socialist egotistical control freaks. Then and only then will the British electorate hopefully begin to awaken from the nightmare they have allowed their once magnificent and proud country of Great Britain to become. S'there.

Keep the faith
