Most bars and restaurants in Cala Millor and Cala Bona start employing staff for the Summer months around April/May. If you are one of those many people who want to come over on the off chance of getting work - a bit of advice ... come for a fortnight's holiday at the beginning of the season, and while you are here look for work and accommodation (increasingly harder each year). If you get fixed up while you are here then its a bonus. If you don't then just enjoy your holiday and use the return portion of your ticket. If you do get work remember that the people employing you are expecting you to work, they are not just paying for your holiday. Every year people start work with enthusiasm one day, go out on the town that night and then turn up late for work on day two. They are then surprised that they are sacked on the spot!
